Rapid Response

You may choose to work on our unplanned rapid response night sitting service that supports individuals to remain in their own home and reduces the need for admissions to hospital or a care home while the individual's normal care is unavailable.

The unplanned night sitting service is arranged daily by the Emergency Duty Team in accordance with individual’s needs.

Working on this service you may be deployed across the entire county of Norfolk.

The level of care and support you provide will vary according to an individual’s needs and potential.

Elements provided by the Service will include, but not be limited to:

Personal care and therapy support
Holistic Care Planning, which is person-centred
Promotion of health and wellbeing
Multidisciplinary and integrated working
Conducting risk assessments and managing risks
Adherence to safeguarding procedures
Support to relatives and carers
Infection control procedures
Palliative and end of life care
Maintaining records and recognising change in care needs
